They rely almost exclusively on cherry picked data to make their point. One example is the billion dollar damage report from noaa which has recently been challenged for a host of sins including lack of transparency and horrible “science”. It seems they will compare the cost of weather imposed damage in the same location decades apart without taking into account the degree of new development in that location or the relative increases in property value over that time period. They simply take the gross dollar amount of damages at time X, adjust that dollar amount for inflation at time Y and then compare that to the dollar amount of damage at time Y and use those two numbers to inform how much greater damage is being caused by climate change….an apple and an orange comparison. And that is one source of “proof” of CO2 induced increased severe weather that has been quoted in over 1000 “scientific” publications then used by the e.p.a. to justify their malfeasance. The e.p.a. needs to be brought down.
