Contrary to the "common sense" viewpoint that ideas about conspiracies are signs of mental illness at worst and deranged judgment at best, conspiracies are the norm in government and many business operations. Anti-vaxxer and climate-change denier are also epithets used to discredit those with legitimate scientifically grounded perspectives, thus amplifying and empowering the singular (incorrect)discordant perspective that the propagandists hope will be believed.

The damage from these efforts is so huge, because it completely screws up productivity as well as manipulating thought. While I banned Google interface from my personal browsers years ago, this search engine dominates systems in the workplace. Moving past it to obtain needed information wastes huge amounts of worktime. Every social medium has been infested with these paid, agendized influencers for a very long time. You can identify them with the Socratic method of questioning, which often cuts through their script rather quickly.
