Merry Christmas everyone. It’s amazing how your memory seems to pick out specific thoughts from the past. I remember a long time ago as a kid coming home from a long walk on a snowy cold December day after a basketball game. I walked into our house and my mother, alone, was decorating the Christmas tree, the mantle and had put lights in the windows. It had already turned dark outside and I thought not only did my parents provide wonderful Christmases for their 4 children but they had given us our religion. Though both of my parents died when I was young they always taught us to be good to other people and to respect people which is imbedded in me. I really have a hard time with people that try to take Christmas away from us. I don’t see the good in it. Well I hope you all find some peace the next few days. Merry Christmas to you all!!! I think that like humor, music will cut straight to truth. In that vein, one of my favorite pieces is Pachabel's Canon in D. When set to a Christmas hymn, "and sung by a children’s choir, that simplicity is elevated to something exquisite."
Merry Christmas to you & Jill and your Clan! As an aside you mentioned the Epoch Times. I just discovered a few months back that Epoch Times was founded by the Falun Gong from China. Over 2 decades ago a group that were able to get out of China, as they are persecuted there and used for organ harvest because the eat clean, live clean and think clean. There are documentaries out there of Chinese Dr's out there explaining how they harvested organs from Falun Gong with guns pointed at their head. Anyway this group admired our Founding Fathers principles of un-biased Free Speech they started the Epoch Times. https://www.theepochtimes.com/about-us go to the 4th paragraph down. ( Two decades ago, the founders of The Epoch Times came to the United States with the dream of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the pursuit of happiness. We established a non-profit media company to report the truth independently of any corporate, political, or financial agenda. The Party in China used to say "your voice is our voice," but it was a lie. Our aim is not to enforce our perspective on you, but to amplify your voice.)
I find it interesting that the Chinese people were warning us over 2 decades ago of what NOT to let happen in America.
Anyway, today you can support the Falun Gong via their dance group, Shen Yun . Please make the effort to support & enjoy their philosophy of "truthfulness, benevolence, and forbearance."
The dog in the raft was hilarious. Reminds me of sheeple...evidence right in front of them and they still believe their own utterances!
